Robert Bussey is the creative force and sonic architect behind his guitar based progressive rock project Attic Symphony. If majestic soundscapes, propulsive riffs, soaring "kiss the sky" guitar lines and inspired, textured compositions are your thing, then you've come to the right place.
Hailing from Charlotte, NC, the self proclaimed "Rock Guitarist With A Symphonic Flair" has two albums under the Attic Symphony name. 2004's self titled debut and 2007's C.S. Lewis inspired "Attic Symphony II - Cold Vast and Severe". While the former revisits Robert's metal past with a more Michael Schenker (UFO, Scorpions, MSG) or George Lynch ( Dokken, Lynch Mob) vibe, it's Cold Vast and Severe that gives fans of Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd and progressive music in general, something to get excited about.
"Robert Bussey's guitar has a voice. It speaks with the grandeur of a vast canyon, the power of a raging river and the authority of a towering mountain range. Attic Symphony is the platform for that voice and just as the beauty of creation will oftentimes defy verbal description, the music of Attic Symphony needs no words to get it's point across. The melodic nature of this music speaks for itself and it loves to tell stories."
